Mrs. Editha M. Taytay founded Discovery Montessori School Inc. in 1992. She graduated BSE Ed. at the Philippine Normal University (then Philippine Normal College) and also had her Pre-School Specilazation Course and MA Units in Language Teaching at the same University.
She spent the first years of her teaching life as one of the pioneer teachers of Elizabeth Seton School back in 1977-81. Then from 1981-86, she joined the then Maria Montessori Cooperative School (now known as Maria Montessori Children's School Foundation Inc.) as Class Directress. From 1984-91, Mrs. Taytay also became a Montessori Trainor wherein she trains new teachers the Montessori System. And from 1986-92 Mrs. Taytay worked as the Head Directress of the MMCSFI.
She is also a member of the Association of Early Childhood Educators.
